Blakesley Pre-School

Welcome to our in school Pre-School provision.

Children can start Pre-School in the September after they have had their 3rd birthday. If you wish to have a tour or reserve a place please do contact the school office: office@blakesley.pdet.org.uk 01327 860257.

Government Childcare Support

We can and do offer inline with the Government childcare support scheme, up to 30 hours free per week for those that are eligible. We do offer the 15 hours free for all 3-4 years olds. Eligible parents must apply via GOV.UK to get a code to share with providers. 

We can and do offer full and part time places, being flexible with sessions. 

We can and do offer wrap around care for our Pre-School children. 

School Based Pre-School

Choosing a school based Pre-School brings many advantages. Children benefit from being part of a wider school community, with access to high-quality facilities, shared resources and specialist staff. Our Provision is led by a qualified teacher, ensuring that children receive expert guidance in both their academic and personal development. As part of our curriculum, children are introduced to English, phonics and maths in age-appropriate way, helping to build strong early foundations in core subjects. This structured learning supports school readiness by developing essential skills, routines and confidence. With consistent routines, familiar surroundings and opportunities to build early relationships with school staff and peers. 

What makes Blakesley unique?

Our Pre-School is part of our Reception class and our experienced team is dedicated to creating a happy, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn. Our team includes: Our experienced Reception teacher, our EYFS Practitioner and a class Teaching Assistant. 

We use Tapestry, a secure online platform, to record and celebrate each child's learning journey. Through photos, videos and observations, we capture your child's progress and special moments during their time with us. 

Uniform and Lunches

For Pre-School, we ask that all children wear our school uniform, which can be purchased through School Trends. 

Lunches can be booked and paid for through Kingswood Catering, who cater for all year groups at the School.
